We are an independent video game startup founded in 2016 in san jose, california. we strive to create games that will be remembered for many years to come. rather than following a particular trend, we get inspired by looking back at the games we ourselves enjoyed playing over the last 35 years. at adamant studios, we are passionately working on 'knights of frontier valley'​, a modern roguelike adventure game with rpg, survival, and strategy elements, and a heavy focus on replayability. knights of frontier valley is story-driven, but stays true to its roguelike origins with a procedural world, challenging difficulty, and an old-school gameplay with no hand-holding. atmosphere is valued over everything else. the immersive soundtrack contains over two hours of music – in parts performed by an authentic medieval crossover band, playing on instruments made from materials available during that time. customize your character in near unlimited ways, and make him shape the storyline – while still remaining only one small piece in a much bigger world. rather than saving the world, the goal of the game is to simply have your character survive and make a name for himself in an environment of conflicting faction interests. find your own path through the dangers of the valley. use your fighter’s strength to crush anyone standing in your way, silently take them out as an assassin or thief, zap them with spells from your preferred school of magic, or choose a more peaceful approach as a scholar, trader, or bard. remain independent, or join a faction – and if you want, betray your allies. in any case, you’ll have a unique experience – every time you start a new game. available 2020 for windows and mac (other platforms later).
