An expansion broke ground in Winter 2022 that will see the property gain an expanded gaming floor, chophouse & bourbon bar, high limit gaming area, sports & entertainment bar and a brand new 5-story 123 room hotel. The gaming floor expansion is expected to open by the end of 2022, with the hotel and remaining amenities opening sometime in mid-2023. Derby City Gaming & Hotel will continue to elevate the entertainment experiences Louisville has to offer and ensure KY’s signature horse racing industry continues to thrive.In addition to the expansion on poplar level road, Derby City Gaming Downtown is expected to open in 2023 as well. A brand new property located in the heart of Downtown Louisville, DCGDT will be a tourist’s dream featuring 3 bar concepts, 600 HRM’s & Official KY Derby gift shop when the property opens.
