The idea is to amalgamate the heritage skill of cikankari from her native Lucknow and the skills she acquired while pursuing Fashion Technology from Polimoda, Italy. At KRI we strive to integrate traditional methods of embroidery with contemporary silhouettes to adorn the modern Indian woman. We do not believe in using machines for chikankari because we want to nurture, spread and grow as an artisanal industry. Therefore, we provide purely handcrafted garments, quality controlled at each step of the production process. In the last 2 years, we have been fortunate enough to generate a worldwide clientele by exporting western and ethnic womenwear to countries such as Italy, France, Germany, USA and Pakistan. We have our own manufacturing unit with where we can customize orders according to our clients' specifications. KRI is a women conscious company where we endeavor to employ and train more and more women artisans to promote women welfare and development in the rural sectors.
