We are a knowledge-based supply-chain creator and integrator of indigenous produces from the Himalayan ranges of Himachal Pradesh. We aim to preserve the ancient knowledge of indigenous food and farming techniques of the numerous tribes from Himachal Pradesh. In December 2018, the founder of Thapasu Foods, Amshu CR was awarded the Best Women Entrepreneur by Niti Aayog and Start-Up India, in April 2019 we were awarded the best promoter for native Himalayan produces by HIMCAA and Himachal Tourism. In January 2019 we started our marketing & sales and from August 2019, we are incubated in CSIR Palampur as well, we are also recognised by Start Up India and MSME department.We set up a one stage distribution channel between the rural farmers and consumers, to market farmers' produces & value-added products, and establish a sustainable business model through a farmer mapping framework. We work in collaboration with various stakeholders to bring skill development, technology, and institutional expertise to the grassroots (communities).We empower our farmers by setting up a food processing unit in their villages and work closely with them and their families to source fresh seasonal produces, which are then packaged and put in the market for consumption. Currently, we are working with produces like - Barley, Seabuckthorn, Rhododendron, Black peas, and Rosehip. All our crops are sourced from organic produces and hand-sorted in Himalayan villages, our produces are grown naturally without the use of harmful chemicals to sustain indigenous crops.
